For where two or three gather together because they are mine, I am there among them. — Jesus (Matthew 18:20)

Those who begin to journey along the Way of Jesus often have a strong desire for community. This is good and is a natural part of the journey. It is very simple to be together in community. With Christ as center, come together in an atmosphere of love and encourage one another to love and good deeds.

Think of ways to encourage one another to outbursts of love and good deeds. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage and warn each other, especially now that the day of his coming back again is drawing near. Hebrews 10:24-25

The early followers of the Way of Jesus met together constantly and shared everything they had.

And all the believers met together constantly and shared everything they had. They sold their possessions and shared the proceeds with those in need. They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity– all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their group those who were being saved. Acts 2:44-47
